Rendel’s team in Australia has been appointed in a technical advisory role for Surf Lakes in Yeppoon, Queensland.

Sydney Gateway

Rendel carried out proof engineer checks on the permanent works of all the complex bridges and the flyover. In addition, Rendel provided proof engineering services for the erection engineering and launching for the twin arch bridges. Additional services during the construction phase included the proof engineering of design changes and temporary works packages.

Melbourne Metro Tunnel Shafts

The multi-billion Metro Tunnel will create a new rail line with high-capacity trains and five new underground stations in Melbourne, Victoria by 2025. The Tunnel and Stations package is being delivered under an availability based Public Private Partnership by Bouygues Construction Australia as part of Cross Yarra Partnership, together with Lendlease Melbourne Metro, John Holland and Capella Capital.

Hay Point Berth 2 Independent Review

Rendel was appointed with ASPEC Pty on the Shiploader and Berth Replacement (SABR) Project to carry out an independent structural review of the existing Berth 2 caissons and proposed design of the new Berth 2A at the Hay Point Coal Terminal in Queensland, Australia.

Director Neil Kerridge heads up Rendel Ingerop in Sydney. In addition, Director for Industry and Energy, Matthew Lyons, strategically relocated in 2024 to support the team’s expansion, bringing over a decade of expertise in major maritime infrastructure projects. Most recently, Director Antonio Perez relocated in 2025, contributing strategic expertise in underground structures.

Rendel Ingerop Pty Ltd was established in Sydney in 2018, and focuses its services on major infrastructure, energy and industry projects. In 2024, we expanded our presence to the West Coast with the establishment of our team in Perth. Rendel Ingerop’s key projects include Stanley Point Berth 3, Sydney Gateway, Lumsden General Cargo Facility, Melbourne Metro and Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2.

Aspec Engineering Pty Ltd, joined the Rendel Group in 2022. Aspec Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering specialising in material handling, ports, and infrastructure and has offices in Brisbane, (QLD), Perth (WA), Newcastle and Wollongong (NSW). Rendel and Aspec Engineering have a successful 12-year history of collaboration on various projects in Australia. Notable joint projects include Hay Point Expansion Berth 3, Sydney Metro Northwest Rail Link and the Hay Point Berth 2 Shiploader Replacement Project.
