About the INGÉROP Group
The INGÉROP Group is an engineering company with more than 70 years of experience, specializing in the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects around the world. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, the Group has consolidated its reputation as a global leader in the industry. In Spain, INGÉROP has been developing public transport projects for over 25 years, including the Barcelona Tram, the Granada Metro, the High-Speed line between Madrid and Extremadura, the Reus Bellisens Station, and the Barcelona La Sagrera Workshop, among others, reflecting its deep commitment to improving mobility and infrastructure in the country.
INGÉROP has two main strategic objectives: to expand its presence in Spain and to strengthen its activities in the rapidly growing electric mobility market.
By making Evectra its subsidiary, INGÉROP enhances its expertise at the crossroads of Transport, Energy, and Infrastructure and Mobility while adding a new asset to its Spanish subsidiary, which now has more than 200 employees. This acquisition will also support the international development of its Energy activities.
“Evectra is a highly specialized engineering company with extensive experience in electric mobility, particularly in the area of charging stations. Its teams, young but very experienced, will bring real added value to the Group and complementary expertise in the transport sector, including large public transport projects, whether in Spain or other European countries where we operate and where the need for fleet electrification is growing,” said Yves Metz, President of the INGÉROP Group, and Philippe-André Hanna, Director of Transport and Spain.
With this new acquisition, INGÉROP Spain—now consisting of four subsidiaries, Ingerop T3, Smart2, Leedeo, and Evectra—will achieve sales of over 20 million euros in 2024.
Synergies between the INGÉROP Group, its Spanish subsidiaries, and Evectra have already begun to address Spanish and European projects.
